|Become a ReStore Volunteer|
The ReStore is Habitat for Humanity's ecosystem in action - every purchase, donation and volunteer hour breathes life into our mission. Each simple yet significant act contributes to bringing safe, affordable housing to the 1 in 10 Chicagoans who need assistance.
By accepting donations of new and slightly used home furniture and building materials, ReStore Chicago diverts over 800 tons of goods from the landfill every year and reinvests half a million dollars directly into the communities that need it most.
We invite people of all backgrounds, races, and religions to volunteer at our location at 6040 N Pulaski. From donation processing to building operations to item merchandising, ReStore Chicago offers a variety of volunteer opportunities geared toward individual interests and skills.
In addition to helping families create safe, decent, and affordable housing, you can expect a fun and rewarding time while volunteering. It’s a great place to interact with staff and volunteers while engaging directly with your community. Opportunities are available Tuesday through Sunday all year round, as well as during special events at trade shows and exhibitions.
