Volunteer Role
Become a Habitat Chicago Photographer
Are you a skilled photographer with a desire to give back to the local Chicago community? Have you always wanted a reason to wear a hard hat and capture people hard at work?  If so, put your talent to good work photographing Habitat Chicago events, families, and volunteers.  We are in need of a few talented photographers to volunteer at our build site in West Pullman, at the ReStore in North Park and also photographing some of our events that happen all throughout Chicago.

    Description
HFHC photographers can help our team in a variety of ways and with a variety of schedules.
    • Photograph our events!  These can range from spending a day (10am-3pm) on our build site taking candid & group shots of our volunteers to coming to our Benefit Breakfast that happens in a downtown ballroom and again, capturing both candid and some group shots.
    • Photograph our ReStore volunteers!  The ReStore is on the lookout for a few skilled photographers that can help to capture some of the amazing work our volunteers are doing and help us to create a new volunteer marketing piece.
    • Photograph our build site!  Our Construction team is on the lookout for volunteers who can help us to capture the work happening on the build site in order to use those photographs in teaching future groups how to do their tasks.
    • Photograph our build site volunteers! We’d love to have a skilled photographer on site whenever we have volunteers on our build site to help us best capture all of the amazing work these volunteers are doing and help us show the ongoing process of each home.
If any of these sounds interesting to you, please email katie.clendenning@habitatchicago.org with the subject line “Volunteer Photographer”.  Please include in your email a link or attachment of your portfolio and any other pertinent information!
